The Harbour album is an absolute thing of beauty...somehow it just feels as though it seeps into you upon repeated listens - so proud he agreed to collaborate with us !

The Particles - Advanced Colouring (7")
The Particles - Advanced Colouring (7") YouTube video by moss

This jazz song segues very beautifully into a track by The Particles in a couple of mins, jazz-sceptics. It'll make it worth it. From Yorkshire-jazz to early 80s indiepop from Sydney with just a half-second of separation.

A Portal To Here, by Work Money Death 4 track album

Now playing 'Brother Earl' from the brilliant new LP by Work Money Death: playing this obsessively at the mo. Deeply uplifting, nay ecstatic Pharoah Sanders-style transcendence from West Yorkshire.

This month's @subjangle.bsky.social 4xCD offer is up and available, by the way, and it contains a double CD by my delightful pal @powerfulpierre.bsky.social. AND the thrilling new LP by Shopfires, who I invariably play on the show.

Just radio-ed Pete's 'It Makes Me Happy Just Thinking About It'.

Weston-le-Clay, by Aidmoozic 8 track album

I hope you enjoyed that little 70 second track from the brilliantly refreshing new LP, Weston-Le-Clay by Aidmoozic just now, which is certainly one of the louder things I've played on the radio. Scratches my Minutemen/Mission of Burma itch, that. The LP is great - eight tracks in 7 minutes

A Different Beat, by Heavenlyindie from the album Highway To Heavenly

Currently playing: A Different Beat by Heavenly via @skepwax.bsky.social. A slighter lither and funkier Heavenly than we have become accustomed to. I really love this song.

Slip, by Shane Parish from the album Autechre Guitar

That last track was 'Slip' by @shaneparish.bsky.social, just one of his wonderful guitar reinterpretations of the songs of Autechre. Stunningly lovely.

The Tracksuit Trilogy, by The Experimental Pop Band 23 track album

If you liked the Davey Woodward track, do check out this lovely reissue of The Experimental Pop Band's The Tracksuit Trilogy on @unspunheroes.com. Really good stuff. And that new single is the first track from an LP, The Bristollian, which will release later this year

New Davey Woodward on now "You didn't like to listen to my jazz records / but I persuaded you / look at the hairs standing up on the back of the cat / it's torture, there's no tune, I can't listen to it / you'd leave the room and return five minutes later / a marmite smile on your face". Love this.

The Bear, by Hello Midlands track by Hello Midlands

Currently playing 'The Bear' by the wonderful @hellomidlands.com - a tense, wild, lurching gothic ballad; a sort of a cross between a police procedural and a folk story. Complete with roars and dizzyingly great lyrics

Outside, saints are faked, poverty is performed, and terror is aestheticised; Pa finally escapes to wine and raw fish, shuts himself away again, and sleeps - history unresolved beyond the door.

I have a bit of a habit of quoting lyrics on this radio show: managed to resist doing it for this song, but gosh! Do read them.

Ignite, by Sea of Days track by Sea of Days

That was 'Pilot Light' by Andrew Rumsey, who has made my fave LP of the year so far. Really terrific.

Now playing, the new single by @seaofdays.bsky.social - a spectacular track called 'Ignite'.
