Getting ready for @truefalsefilmfest.bsky.social Day 2. Day 1 was Sam Green’s The Oldest Person in the World, Robb Moss’ The Bend in the River and Iain Forsyth & Jane Pollard’s Broken English. All three films about time, reflection, personal history, moving forward. The Moss is a real stand out.

We watched O’Dessa and really liked it.
If you’re not familiar, it’s a post-apocalyptic rock opera gender-bent retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice with a masc Sadie Sink.
Beautifully shot, quirky, with good music.
Eric Kohn calls THE OLDEST PERSON IN THE WORLD one of the best movies at Sundance and describes it as “a sensational portrait of what it means to keep living in the moment, regardless of what the future might provide, and something of a repudiation to more superficial pursuits.”
