Google is using Gboard to test predictive text ideas and farm data, so is purpose as a useful tool has become secondary to that.

Partner was typing "nugget" and Google corrected it to the n word. She *never* uses that word. Privacy was already a concern, but GBoard auto-suggesting slurs by default is completely unacceptable.

I've switched to an offline keyboard (FUTO), and my desire to degoogle has jumped.

Whistleblowers just shared a memo showing DHS instructing ICE to force their way into peoples' houses without a proper warrant. Why is this not on all the networks right now? This is a criminal conspiracy to violate rights under color of law.

Is there any point left in explaining how wrong and bad this admin is? Continued support for Trump and ICE appears totally untethered and immune to the objective reality.

💚 We spent a pretty penny helping a houseless person get their dog back from the police recently. It was worth it, but wasn't really something we could afford.

I guess the hope is that our stress generated from helping is safer and more manageable than the stress that we helped relieve.
