Yesterday, Emma & Jess from our Employment Team attended the Gwent Women's Conference at the Lysaght Institute to mark the upcoming International Women's Day 2026 - lots of interesting workshops & presentations including the impact of an inclusive community on mental health.
We can’t wait to hear from DUKE AL, who uses poetry to challenge OCD, process life after a type 1 diabetes diagnosis, and create change one rhyme at a time.
His work shows us of the power of expression, creativity and community in supporting mental health.

At our fringe event chaired by Mabon ap Gwynfor, Dr Jen Daffin, Katie Dalton and Ewan Hilton discussed how real change can be achieved through opening and connecting access to support, managing transitions in a better way and taking a social justice approach to mental health.

Accessing good quality and timely support for our mental health is essential for living fulfilling lives. Yet, under the current system, this does not always happen for everyone.
