It's like a different world, even the "big slow guys" of today make Hogan and Hacksaw and those guys, fun as they were, look like they walked in literal slo-mo.
Ok fair. I obviously don't consider the fact that it's scripted means it is "fake" but I guess it depends on exactly what is meant by "fake" when any given person uses it.
The athleticism isn't fake. The "competition" obviously is.

Honestly, "First Blood" is a really good movie about police abuse of power. The others are brainless super soldier fare.

Why did the boys on Con Air care about not slamming into that little pop plane that landed at Lerner? Doesn't make any sense, which is strange, because the rest of the movie is totes norms.

I love seeing the progress. I have to believe our unflinching week-in-week-out consistency and *pretty dang good* audio quality helps. A lot.
I know this doesn't make us Big Time Podcasters or anything, but Episode 51, on GHOSTBUSTERS, is our first episode to be downloaded over 100 times on its first day of release.
We started in Feb 2025, and that April was the first time we got 100 in a MONTH, across all episodes.

I heard a song in an episode of "Billions" and while I didn't recognize it, it immediately made me think of another song, one I hadn't heard in years and couldn't place. With some searching of my memory I figured out it was "Every Time The Sun Comes Up" by Sharon Van Etten which is just a dope song.
Why did Hollywood spend the '90s trying to convince us Arnie was some kind of "everyman"? ... I mean... I'm glad they did. But come on!

Starting to think this particular piece of functionality is something I should break out into its own SaaS. Would #podcasters find useful this kind of auto-social-clip functionality? I'm enjoying it.
Now that I've added Buffer API integration to my podcast website's console, I get suggestions for social media clips automatically; can approve those or cut my own from the episode transcript; can use the movie poster or a custom image; can schedule them in Buffer with one click.
