Definitely! I can barely tolerate the whole printing process for something that’s came from my head. Couldn’t fathom doing it for something I didn’t have that connection with.
The whole ai copyright issue aside, It’s a weird one, not something I’d do but myself as to me the concept/composition is the interesting part. But as long as they’re up front about it and people know what they’re getting… Just feels a shame to outsource the most creative part it.

Now you say it, there is definitely more than a dash of Oliver Twist (minus the bowl) to it. The star burst just never quite sat right to me, perhaps just a smaller “orb” would be better.
I think I like the ambiguity of the one without, so I’d I ever print more I’ll stick with that. Doesn’t hurt that it’s less effort either!

To any other spare time printmakers, how to you find the spare time? I’ve had a set of 4small prints that is progressing at a glacial pace. Coming up for a year now and they still aren’t completely carved.
We live for that one perfect day a year, where the breeze is cool, the sun is warm and the air is just crisp…
And 9 times out of ten we can’t go out because we’ve still got a sodding cold.

Printed this a little while ago when I thought the world seemed a bit dark. It was a bit of a reminder to myself.

Honestly, so far this feels like a breath of fresh air! Maybe it’s just the newness but it’s felt very easy to find interesting people (both new to me and already known) to follow and with none of the forced “suggestions” and other irrelevant nonsense.
