After that I could rescue a piece of wood that didn’t have any cracks. And cleaned it with a small hand axe.

After that the pieces where cut so they had the right length for your stove. And I had to start using my axe to cut them to smaller pieces.

This is the first post of a series showing the full process of a piece I’m working on. There are some dead trees in the lot who are living on so we had to bring them down.

It’s a new year and I’m going to try again to share what I’m doing. Specifically what I’m doing creatively. Since I’m living in a rural area I now have access to wood, so I returned to carving. #woodcarving

Love the effect

I did it in three days but didn’t track the time. I tend to do this things between patients so, when I can or on the weekends.

I don’t mind it now, it’s just a bit of a heartbreak when it happens. But we have to move on (making a reference to the musical “Sunday in the park with George”).
