The Coens are extraordinary filmmakers. I’ve been hooked ever since Blood Simple. I enjoy their individual films, but I’m really hoping they make some more films together…

It's no longer OK for you to sit in the house of Lords because your dad did.
But if your mate put you there?
That's fine.
Neither of these really feel like democracy to me.
You know the best way to kill AI? Don't use it. Don't buy it. Don't share it. Don't give the people who use it your labour or your money.
Britain’s entire rightwing political classes being dragged around by whatever nonsense happens to have appeared on Trump’s Truth Social account in the past fifteen minutes is something to behold
These are the 4 things AI can do well:
•Clean up your email inbox (badly)
•Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
•Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
•Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday
You can see why we need to base our economy around it
The good kind of infighting. Creasy explaining very clearly why the policy sucks. More power to the backbenchers
A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.

War is such a massive pain in the arse.
HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS is the kind of film that can restore your faith in cinema *and* make you laugh non-stop. Come for the costumed mascots, stay for the Karel Zeman aesthetic and Buster Keaton jokes.
Probably shouldn’t have had Claude doing the targeting, then.
Blowing things up, kidnapping and killing foreign leaders, is good because it's Doing. Considering the consequences of Doing would be Thinking, which is weak and woke
The political death wish of the current Labour leadership is quite something to behold

Going off the “war room” photos, I couldn’t tell which Supreme Leader is meant to be dead.
These photos are normally staged in the White House Situation Room, not a golf clubhouse. But then again, they usually show a president who is alert/engaged/alive rather than undead at best

Every day another reason to loathe “AI”
"Nobody over the last quarter of a century has done more to defeat the genuine, intolerant, abhorrent, extreme, far-right than me," says Nigel Farage, as he announces plans for the mass deportation of hundreds of thousands of people and a visa ban on anyone coming from six Muslim-majority countries
Brainwashing, 2026 edition. This paper shows how X's algorithmic feed shifts people's views rightwards. It's a sophisticated, highly effective form of reorientation. And it is utterly chilling.
If you're still on that platform, unhook yourself now.

These people are poison. They will unleash racist thugs on the streets of this country and call it security. They will subjugate us to the US and call it patriotism. They must be stopped. There is no more important task in politics.
This is entirely correct.
It is *also* true of Labour's earned settlement proposals -which while not as extreme/overtly racist as Reform's, would still have precisely this effect for hundreds of thousands of people
Not too late for government to change course
