Additionally, the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection (MCED) Screening Coverage Act passed as part of this package, ensuring Medicare coverage of FDA-approved multi-cancer early detection blood tests, enabling earlier diagnosis and improving outcomes across multiple cancers.

Yesterday, the House passed the funding measure to end the ongoing partial government shutdown, which includes funding for the Defense Appropriations Act, which provides $20 million for the Lung Cancer Research Program.
