State, federal officials hear from public on proposed Scranton-to-New York City passenger train State and federal transportation officials hosted a webinar Thursday to about the development of a service plan for Amtrak's proposed Scranton-to-New York City passenger train. Officials heard lots of questions, but said many answers will have to wait until the study is closer to finished in 2028.

PennDOT recently held its first town hall webinar to answer public feedback and questions on the long discussed passenger service between Scranton and NYC. The ongoing service development plan process should be wrapped up by 2028.
