Your role as a platform engineer will move towards orchestrating and directing AI activity across your distributed systems.
Use your systems to gather information -- use your system to react.
Your main job will be keeping a comprehensive view to advance the tooling.
He wrote it on the train between Paris back to London.. I think that is the crazy part π«
Who needs AI if you have a partner who builds (you) things!? @axjns.dev

My default assumption with a talk is that you are going to provide some actionable strategies and key takeaways. That's why you're giving the talk. Using that phrase without providing teaser examples just makes me think you wrote this with ChatGPT and don't know where you're going with it yet.
I would love to do what you do, currently I am paying for their hosting... Might reach out with some questions ππΌ
There are others who go a step further and even misrepresent their professional experience and work profile to paint a better image of their professional experience... So misleading...
This. People who have little to no hands on experience talking about how to implement tools or scale teams.
I think I should realize my dream of speaking at a neuroscience conference. I will show you how to hack your brain π
In the bible, it is not paying your debts that is sacred - it's forgiving debts, it's cancelling debts - Jubilee!
- David Graeber
"99% of politicians and 99% of the media literally think of what they do as a kind of game. If you look at the questions that journalists ask politicians, they are almost entirely game-playing ones (like how does this effect electability etc...) and not questions about policies let alone the effects of those policies." . - David Graeber
Ah yes, sorry, interpreted it differently
Similar probably with any form of discrimination and segregation, if people don't want to emphasize with a certain group, and it's socially acceptable not to, then it's favourable for one's survival and acceptance in the group also to discriminate etc.
Society shapes emotions and vice versa
I would even argue it's an evolutionary question and how advanced we are as a society.
Being selfish is instinct and survival.
Slave owners probably did not emphasize with the people they mistreated. And they probably taught similar thinking to their kids etc.
Most young adults are very selfish, some people change and emphasize with their kids, pets -- and people who become vegan for animal welfare reasons learnt to extend that empathy towards other beings. It's all a question about emotional intelligence, which is largely influenced by your environment
Totally agree. It's like empathy towards other beings, it's all trained and taught to a different extent
While I was growing up, I always thought that the type of discrimination women face, in the middle of their career, would hardly affect me because "discrimination will be largely overcome or resolved by then".
Men, you have failed me.
Please choose two (max three with partner's help) of the following:
* Dog
* Kids
* Full time, demanding job
* Running household
I have no idea how any single parent would do it without additional (potentially paid) help.

@axjns.dev
The issue is that everyone is minding their own business and normalising ignorant and uneducated, not environmentally friendly behaviours.
It's not like he had a baby next to him that had to be kept cool.
It's not like people like him would not have the financial ability to make better decisions in the car they buy.
He does not have to be worried to be attacked in the parking lot through his open window at 7 AM.
The list goes on...
Oh dear, it has everything to do with me, I have to live on this planet with ignorant people like you. I don't get a choice but you clearly have the choice to turn your engine off in the morning and open some windows while you sit in your car.
Yesterday I told a man in his nice Mercedes Convertible "People like you are the reason our world is going down"
He sat for 10min+ in his car with the engine on so I walked over and asked him whether he ever heard of global warming, his reply "what does that have to do with you?"
Yellow Labrador sitting in front of a "Happy Birthday" banner, dog bed and lots of treats in front of her
Yellow Labrador with birthday party hat, eagerly taking a bite off the bone shaped cookie on top of a blue, round birthday cake. The writing on the cake reads "Arkady 3". Next to the cake, on the plate are a few dog cookies and two cupcakes one with pink writing "Arkady 3" and one with blue writing "3"
Yellow Labrador sniffs on plate filled with dog birthday treats, including a cake and two cupcakes. The Labrador wears a party hat and a dark red bandana.

Some companies that are backing oss seem to be completely disconnected from the real struggles people have, using their tooling at scale.
'We have no vision, but let's slap some AI analysis on top', I'm sure that will improve usability.
