Aaaand for those not in the know (which is surprisingly common) - Commander Keen's real name is William "Billy Blaze" Joseph Blazkowicz II. Named after his grandfather, B.J. Blazkowicz - from Wolfenstein. He's also the grandfather of DOOM-Guy, whose real name is William Joseph Blazkowicz III.
I really wish ID Software would pick up the Commander Keen franchise again. Not just because they're fun games but because they're, to many peoples surprise, essential to the lore of DOOM and Wolfenstein but have been delegated to small easter eggs in either series.
