And for the "only considering horizontal movement" part, i want to keep things flexible and be able to do all kind of animations (vertical, rotation, etc...)
It's a point set up relative to the object i want to move ! (i hope the drawing below helps better understand the system)
It's used to create a plane wich helps determine the direction of the animation
Yeah it's kind of a big inspiration (and one of my fav games).
Implementation wise, the door opening/closing is an animation which is driven by how far the mouse is from the hand, and an arbitrary target

Worked on camera movement & finding a solution to grab items in a 3D space ! Right now, it's using handles projected on the hands plane. Seems to works well enough

The cool thing with this control scheme is i only use the mouse.
