A chart outlining the RIP BOZO Readiness Condition (RIPCON), which is a riff off of DEFCON. There are 5 levels, with 5 being lowest and 1 being the highest. The chart details descriptions of these levels, examples and actions to take in the event something occurs.

Prod is in late "dark deployment" / early rollout stages, with a few dozen NixOS deployments supporting low hundreds of customers, ramping up to thousands by early next year.

There is a lot I *don't* know about Nix… but a few years deep in the weeds, I know a lot more than I am proud to admit πŸ˜…

To be clear, I'm focusing on servers or development environments; I don't have the fortitude to run Linux on the desktop!

Some more context: my team runs Nix for the dev systems of a half dozen people, working in Ruby, Rust, JS, Java, across a dozen different app, data, and API services.

Hello world! I'm putting together a series of talks and team trainings on Nix and NixOS. (Two is a series, right?)

There's a lot to narrow down. So I would love to know: if you're Nix-curious, what questions do you have, or frustrations have you experienced?

Also: ebikes? I think we’re going to need solar panels, a battery, an inverter, and a handful of bike chargers for various different brands. And while we’re at it, landscaping equipment also uses batteries. This sounds like a very multipurpose building to me, I’m not sure β€˜vehicles’ really captures…

Solution? Combine them into one!

Angel of the Lord: He is not here, He is risen, just as He said.
Come and see the place where He lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead.
