Remember to take care of yourself, the little things matter and you are enough β€οΈ
Love fiercely, be kind to those who deserve it, donβt let them break you.
Love yall.

The Lummi (Lhaq'temish) nation are a recognized tribe belonging to the Coast Salish peoples, from the region that is now Bellingham, WA.
Their word for the orca (Orcinus orca) is:
Qwe βlhol mechen
It translates to "our relatives below the waves."
Let's talk about 'qwe βlhol mechen'.

Two small spider terrariums, naturally planted with small live plants, wood, mosses and tree bark
A regal jumping spider in the back of her new enclosure, looking at the fish tank next door. She is orange, black and cream colored.
Also made a new terrarium for my spider and a hopeful soon neighbor for her.

Back to my cave I go to look at moss and critters β€οΈ
Parrot-Winged Trilobite from βA Field Guide to Flying Trilobitesβ. Ink drawing with digital paint (ArtRage). Green feathery winged trilobite perched on a branch, with some field notes in cursive below. Neutral background, except the trilobite appears to be on vellum taped to the page. Thatβs a trompe dβΕil effect, I painted on. #sciart
Darwin Took Steps Oil on canvas paper. Portrait of elder Charles Darwin with a partial staircase arising from his forehead. A sketch of his βI thinkβ sketch is beside him in red-gold. Lots of umbers in this piece.

Please take care of yourself, your neighbors, your family.
Love one another, try to be kind when you can.
I am a fan of the ideology of love strongly, share peace, but carry a big stick.
We are stronger together and most people are inherently good.
Love yall. Take care. β€οΈ

I spend a lot of time focusing on the people in my life who have done so much for me, who support me, my family and friends.
I cannot emphasize enough how important is it to remember and think of the people who love you and to know itβs okay to lean on them. I would not be okay without them.
Iβve been struggling physically with pain a lot but Iβve been able to keep my spirits up.
Stepping away from social media has been a life changer but I have had to try and find a balance of being informed while taking care of myself.
Im trying to focus on the good in life and things I can do.
Iβm mostly doing well, kind of!
I had a surgery (laparoscopy) and got deep tissue endometriosis confirmed. The relief to have a diagnosis is palpable and I hope I have a chance for a future without pain. The medication Iβll be taking is brutal and likely will put me through menopause temporarily..
Hi everyone!
Just stopping in for a minute. Iβm still taking a break from social media and focusing on health.
A friend threw me a link and I needed to sign in, figured Iβd give a small update for those who have wondered where Iβve gone and care lol
This month has been chaos, good and bad
A 3x3 grid of various artworks by me with me in the center square holding two puppets performing one of my comics at the Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo, surrounded by me are art of a neuron, art of a brain, art of organs, art of fishes, art of another brain, art of toucans, art of a goldfish and art of James Bond inspired by Goldeneye video game
2025 was one of the worst years of my life, I lost my job of 16 years in February (I'm still looking for a new one, if you know of any design/comms jobs), so while 2025 still sucks, my art has gotten a chance to grow and for that, I am incredibly grateful for the time #ArtvsArtist #ArtvsArtist2025

About halfway through my semester, I was having a rough time. The delightful @ksciencearts.bsky.social (who totally loves me) got me a copy of Amber Isle by @ambertail.games
Immediately I got lost in it.
I had to do some fan art, left is my gentleman Meliora, and right is my wife's char York.
Back to the shadow realm with me βοΈ
Came back for this moment just to wish safety and sanity on anyone whoβs listening.
These are scary times, local community is everything.
Find your support groups, hug your loved ones.
Remember youβre not alone.
Sorry will delete
Oh?
I think it was about $7 from Amazon

Why go to parties when we have all the friends we need right here??
I have been heavily debating on getting hissers or dubias π€
And will definitely be growing more isopod colonies.

The interesting thing about recovering from burnout where I was drawing 6 - 8 hours a day for 7 days a week. Whenever my desire to draw returns it is like a firehose for a moment, then completely shuts off. So inconsistent after years of enforced consistency

So many beautiful babies to have!
I just need to find an appropriate storage display and it would not take much to convince me.
I have enough friends I can probably request bug children from to have a pretty fine collection.
Iβm going to tell my husband is for my Online Students of Bug Appreciation 101
~so many possibilities~
Iβm not looking at clear stackable storage containers and thinking about having a large bioactive insect apartment complex, you are.
