Thread about our comic The Great Train Haunting! Chapter one available for purchase at my ECCC table this weekend!
Yeah I mean itβs def better to do that before than it is to grind that sugar and acid into your enamel afterwards
Donβt forget to do it before breakfast! Not after!
three fluffy orange pomeranians that progressively get bigger and more fluffy
this is the only thing I will accept for the pombon evolutions
Thatβs Joe Shishido, famous for his ridiculous cheekbone surgery
Is there a way to preorder and pick it up at the Blackwater show?
Throughout it all, even when things went bad, Spencer clearly understood games as a medium, a profession, and a business. Having an Actual Game Guy at the top of a big gaming company is far rarer than it should be, and while there was a lot of facade to Spencer β particularly towards the end, when he used faux-candour and his gaming credentials to try to mask the godawful shitfest he had spawned β I imagine this is the aspect of him we will come to miss the most. Heartening though it is to at last see a woman in the big chair in this most historically blokey of industries, I do not see much in Asha Sharmaβs track record to suggest things are about to get better. (And thatβs before we get into all the birthrater stuff.) So, yeah. Phil was a good bloke, and he did some good stuff. I believe his heart was in the right place right up until the end β but unfortunately for him, and the rest of us, Microsoft these days is no place for hearts. Letβs have a quick look at the three big moments where, to my mind, it all went wrong for Phil Spencer.

Illustration: A tiny bear relaxing in a cup of coffee with outstretched arms. The mug has a wavy pink and yellow pattern. Above the bear are the words "big life," written in a squiggly style.
Illustration: A bear face with its mouth open showing pointy top and bottom teeth. Transparent pink lasers are shooting out of its eyes. Below the bear's face is the word "bearfire" written in white, with a red flamelike shape behind it.

I ended up renting this and quite liked it. Not really similar to Hundreds of Beavers at all but somehow still sort of in the same space with the weirdo lo-fi black and white nebulous video game stylings. Also reminded me a bit of that sink drain short film we watched
Man I really wish these were not at 4 PM on Thursdays. Looks theyβre rentable though so on to the list they go!
Cut to a close up of the bad guyβs face, glaring up at Hirayama and shaking, still alive because Japanese movies (yeah yeah I know who directed it) never seem to understand how guns work (still terrible)
Hirayama shoots the bad guy two more times, who slowly falls to his knees, with a pained, angry expression. After a brief pause, the bad guy emits a low groan/growl and tries to stand up by putting one foot on the ground, but is shot twice more, and collapses onto the ground.
This is absolutely gorgeous! My all time favorite show!
The anime version of All You Need is Kill is probably my least favorite version of the story but itβs still very fun to watch and it looks absolutely insane
Islah and Atrocity Exhibition!
Thanks! Iβll keep an eye on those. And whoa youβre right about the site. I thought there was a normal one before but now all I can find is this and it took a whileβ¦ obex.oscilloscope.net/obex-site/
@mrgan.com Hopefully this isnβt too random of a question but I think youβre the best person I know to ask. Are there any local theaters that might be likely to show the film OBEX in the near future?
Itβs crazy cool! I dunno what that sound on Ola Tremble is but it rules
@ronbronson.com We are the two R. Missing enjoyers on Record club
Illustration: Two glowing eyes in the background. A burning figure with indistinguishable features stands with its arms open. Text: Mitochondria.
Slightly less obscure reference maybe?
Humans arenβt capable of telling the difference between o and oo
Text: Balloon Fantasy. Image: Four bouncing balloons above a checkered floor. Three are red with a sneering expression and one is blue with a sad face. In the background are random numbers, stars, a UFO, planets, and meteors.
And now for a reference nobody will get...
Refusing to post a βbest of 2025β list of anything until January 1st, because I know how CALENDARS WORK
Itβs def overpriced but Elmhurst Oat Nog has been my favorite so far
