SO.... Office 2021 still exists, although that is going unsupported in October 2026 as well, however it will still work just not be updated, unlike O365 publisher which won't work at all.
So the most sensible option to keep publisher working so far is to use an outdated version. Genius!

*Open Publisher, Ctrl+A, (ungroup all things), Ctrl+C.
*Open blank pre-saved A4 Powerpoint, Ctrl+V
*Save. Close both
Rinse & repeat.
Except ppt doesn't copy any picture extras, so that fancy glow or nice recolour is lost.
