I haven't played in a long time, so I never saw the pop-up notification in the loading screen.

What a horrible way to handle a breach notification.

Star Citizen studio suffered a data breach in January, and some players aren't happy with the very quiet disclosure that only happened this week Cloud Imperium says no financial data or passwords were taken in the leak, but some players say the studio should have done a better job of notifying them anyway.

So I only poke my head in Star Citizen now and then when others mention it, but I only just heard about a data breach they recently had, check your info and virtual starships

My partner and I have an understanding that it's expected that we wake each other up for *that* news.

Honestly, I don't see how the importers *could* repay consumers; the tariffs passed through a kajillion intermediaries in the sales chain. I think we'd have to have special legislation to recoup the refunded tariffs from the importers and then have the gov't send out checks. Which won't happen.

Why does my cat try to kill himself in such stupid and mystifying ways?

I just found him walking around with a large rubber bend in his mouth. I cannot remember the last time I used or even saw a rubber band.

Where did you even find that, dude?

Unity Asset Store will remove all assets from publishers based in China, Hong Kong, and Macau after March 31, 2026.

I'd really like to understand the bigger story behind this because it has broader implications for growing global divides.

I honestly want to believe that they're not on board with all of the horrific shit that's happened in the last decade or more, but the evidence would strongly suggest otherwise.

Ever since I was a kid, if food was too hot to hold in my hand it went straight into my mouth.

Which has on more than one occasion shocked my family, as they stare wide eyed and incredulous at the literally sizzling noise coming from my open mouth.

This is a very important quote from the interview that I hope every single company hoping to capitalize on the gaming industry reads and internalizes. Games are a unique market, and you can't just apply strategies from other industries and find success. This has been proven time and time again.

Decline in remote jobs risks shutting disabled people out of work, study finds Research project warns fall in homeworking roles could undermine efforts to reduce unemployment

We invented the Internet to work remotely. Then developed all the tools we might need. Then had a world historical event prove that remote work was effective and necessary.

Due to popular demand, here is a demonstration video of how to make 3D printed PCBs using just vector drawing software, a 3D printed (PETG filament for mine) and self-adhesive copper tape. Any questions, let me know!

Amazon’s cloud unit has suffered at least two outages due to errors involving its own Al tools, leading some employees to raise doubts about the US tech giant’s push to roll out these coding assistants.

Amazon Web Services experienced a 13-hour interruption to one system used by its customers in mid-December after engineers allowed its Kiro AI coding tool to make certain changes, according to four people familiar with the matter.

The people said the agentic tool, which can take autonomous actions on behalf of users, determined that the best course of action was to “delete and recreate the environment”.

You are not going to replicate WoW
You are not going to replicate Minecraft
You are not going to replicate Fortnite

Please, I'm begging you, stop trying to replicate other people's past success. They can't replicate it themselves.

I printed it and stuck self-adhesive copper tape to it. There's copper tape with conductive adhesive so you can add multiple overlapping pieces and it counts as one conductive surface.

Then I used the second part of the mold to shape the copper, so that it sticks inside the recessed traces.

Then I used sandpaper to file away at the raised ridges. The copper traces are now electrically independent of each other. Done!

But if I want, I can remove the extra copper tape.

The companion mold at the bottom. This second 3D-printed part pushes the copper tape down into the recessed trace channels so it conforms to the shape. The two parts sandwich together with alignment spikes to keep everything registered.

I made a tool that turns PCB designs into 3D-printable molds. you sandwich copper tape between the parts, sand the ridges, and you have a real working PCB. no etching, no chemicals. I am losing my mind
