RFKJ has effectively lost Kennedy status though. Schwartzenegger has higher a Kennedy score at this point.
TBF: if voter behavior is the concern, it's only NH & ME-2 where it will make a difference.
the cover of the current edition of 2000AD with Bridgette Kurtis from Brink on the cover with the moon and a spaceship in the background. Foreground text reads "Dark Side of the Moon: Brink returns this prog!"
Brink's back
I feel like Mayor of NYC is the only political office Trump thinks matters.
slowly watching a subreddit show that enshittification isn't just for corporations
"sorry to interrupt you, Mr. President, but you told us to get you if Hizzoner calls"
hearing the BBC World Service news anchor mispronounce "Chappaqua" was suprisingly grating.
I know it's Norweigan and pronounced differently, but I'm going to be unable to stop snickering at a show with a lead named Harry Hole.
You know, if you told me that Trump thinks that the Mayor of NYC is the only elected position besides the President that has authority, I wouldn't be surprised.
sounds like a line from a song in The Music Man
since I'm on the topic again, if you have a Canadian directly above you in your family tree, there's a high likelihood you are Canadian (pending paperwork) after the citizenship law was changed last December. I wrote a little guide to help you get started.
Quebec's archives just upped the price of document certification by an order of magnitude in response to an overwhelming number of requests from Americans who are now Canadian after C-3.
Which makes sense since every New Englander I knew whose family was there >100 yrs were part French Canadian
Even the people who live in Vancouver can't afford to live in Vancouver.
I just bought toothpaste. No I don't want to fill out a fucking survey about it.
unless the [redacted] drops [redacted] in the middle of it, I don't really care about the [redacted]
I only allow myself to check on the status of my Canadian paperwork once per day, lest I spend too time rechecking. Instead I spend too much time wondering if it's late enough in Nova Scotia, or should I check in later.

woims by the busket
My new zine is available for purchase. I did a little bloggo about it with a link to my ko-fi store. Tywyll: An American Monolinguist's Guide to Welsh Language Crime TV.
It's pretty amazing on all levels to me.
A strip of Nancy from 1978. First panel - Nancy on the left to Sluggo both outside a bait shop. Nancy "I hear you're working at the fishing supplies shack" Sluggo "yep" Second panel - Nancy close-up looking right saying "Do they pay you well?" Third panel - Nancy and Sluggo, Nancy has a surprised look on her face and Sluggo says "They pay me in WOIMS" while holding up a busket full of woims. A WHOLE BUSKET AH DEM! WOIMS! YAHEARME!
reference for those who need it:
penultimate panel from today's Nancy, which is Nancy with a blank expression and speech bubble reading "...: against a pinkish background with various mathy things and the word WOIMS repeated several times, and a busket of woims too. WOIMS!
This panel alone is worth a million billion woims
Maybe we should call her Caroline Woims? (this joke was funnier in my head, but you must suffer it anyway)
boring, longwinded and unlikeable. Lisa McGee really gets people like me.
boring Uncle Colm from Derry Girls
After watching How to Get To Heaven from Belfast, I decided to give Derry Girls a try. It's the rare popular comedy that I find funny (my sense of humor is... off), but I think I've finally found a TV character I can really relate to:
sometimes I wonder, can I make this a thing? Could cons have chinstroker lounges where fans sign up for time slots to let their inner-English-major loose on appreciative fellow travelers? It'll take longer than the cosplay contest, sure, but why not?
(more to the quoted image than Keezy)
Deep reading analysis is how I fan. Some folks cosplay. Some folks fanfic. I chinstroke. I'm also mature enough to not get toxic if my perceived metaphor fails. Saying that readers need to not do this is like saying fanfic writers need to stick to canon.
saw writer David F. Walker at a talk talking about fans coming up to him w/elaborate subtext interpretations he never thought of. He said he always says that it's exactly what he intended and half the time uses it in later interviews.
