We used to joke about dying and morbidity a lot, as part of our way of coping through the world. And I go through those now, and think of how much I've been robbed. And it's a lot to process.

If tickets at this particular junction were not so horrendously expensive, I would have flown straight there myself.

But I'm having a lot of feelings. I found many old photos, things Nick has given me over the years, old messages like how he'd cling on to his Persona 4 Arena vinyl until death.

He would have been 39 today, and I would have given him shit about it.

I realize that he was my older brother figure for the past 16 years and practically family at this point.
