Another friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.
If I could, as an artist, as a storyteller, live a life in which I made 1% of the amount of art as good as what Rob Reiner made, I would be so proud of that as a career.

Did you ever play the video game? You might have been too young. This whole thing is weird.
As I just told a friend, this is intentional assault.
AI corpos:"you can't stop us from stealing your hero's work and debasing him"
You're right: I can't stop you from being trash humans but no one will ever love you like we love him, you're pathetic.
Oh duh I see the original skeet now.
What does it mean?
What a kind and lovely letter.
β¦ maybe 350k words, the whole story, without the appendices? Iβm not sure, but itβs not nearly as much, word count wise, as I would have thought, compared to modern classics.
I still love them, but I get what youβre saying. The actual story, the true narrative, is so much deeper and filled with lore and linguistics and a deep deep love for this entire world he made up. The books really are incredible. About your point about the pacing is a very good one. Itβs likeβ¦
Yeah I mean I havenβt read it by sight in maybe a decade, but I do vaguely recall not noticing the split as much back in the day. Probably got biased about it because of the way Jackson handled it in the films.

Yes all the time. In fact, I was particularly given the courage to do something in a manuscript I would have never thought possible after reading PLEASE IGNORE VERA DIETZ by A.S. King in, I don't know, 2010 or so.
Because of all the monsters that live beneath the waves!
Why people still put their bodies in the ocean is beyond me.
Happy 50th Birthday, Hip-Hop!
