Idk why people don't play Shadowmage Infiltrator more

So I wanna talk about this for a sec.

This is a great example of gatekeeping, and it happens among nerd hobbies frequently. The idea that "the thing I'm a fan of can never do anything I don't like and anyone who likes those things isn't a real fan" is toxic and harmful.

So lets break it down.

Mine keeps complaining that my loads are "unbalanced". What a whiner 🙄

UltraPro had a booth with timers cards and sleeves at MagicCon. I think the top time was around 55s for 40 cards

For my 1st build of a deck I will cut the cards I know are good in favor of cards I'm not sure about. e.g. the 1st draft of my deck never has Sol Ring in it. Once I've played the deck a few times, I'll find cards I don't love and cut them in favor of the staples I feel would help round out the deck

Firebending is a perfect example of UB done right. Firebending gives you mana when a creature attacks, but it has to be used right away. It pairs perfectly with an old (from Alpha!) Magic: the Gathering mechanic, Firebreathing, that converts that mana into power. Inhale, exhale.
