Troubleshooting technical problems improved drastically with AI LLM models. But one thing that made it great beyond good is the ability to snap a screen picture and feed it to AI. E.g. Fixing a device that can’t connect to the internet.

I used to use restream or an alternative, too. They had only a few approved vendors. OBS and Zoom are rather new. Yes, it is a good idea to build and play with it. OBS used to be rough around the edges and not so great on Mac. I have not tried it recently.
