I'm not sure I knew it was Peckinpah until recently. I had it in my re-watch queue for a while, but it suddenly shuffled up (free) on some random service called "Movie Vault." They have others I've been meaning to see or re-see as well: "McCabe and Mrs Miller" and "Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean."
Slow film week for me, but I do wax nostalgic for Sam Peckinpah's underrated opus "The Ballad Of Cable Hogue."

I've had a long career in video production (editor), and I can assure you, I started working _behind_ the camera because I have no desire to be in front of the camera. So we don't get a pass either, sadly.

Well, I've tried 3 "real" prompts from a recent job. They were shocked I wasn't getting usable footage from their AI garbage. They were generating it and handing it to me unviewed, and couldn't believe it was 100% crap. All 3 times this has also failed with no explanation, w/no clips offered at all.

I'm so glad I saw this. As you know, I'm more of a Peaks guy that a VT guy, but this certainly seems like it's worth popping in for a warming beverage.
I have a monthly client project that I've done in Premiere for years, but that I did in Resolve a few months ago because I'd just taken an intro course. However, every time it's come up since, I open the old Premiere project because I just want to knock it out "quickly." I need to get over myself.

Indeed, I went and picked up my (temp) copy, and decided a 1/3rd of the way through to knock out one of the easiest salsas I had the ingredients on-hand for, before reading further. Turns out my avocados are still a day short of ripe, so my inspiration simmers until tomorrow.
I put it on hold with my local li-berry, despite the fact I've been making my family salsa "recipes" since I could walk. I'm not averse to trying new things, although pineapple may be a bridge too far. It's not like it's pizza.
