Aspirate?
Aspirate?
Yeah, Hellebuyck was the MVP for sure.
Yeah, I would have preferred 4 on 4, but everyone knew the rules going in. I saw the coach for Team Canada talking about it and his opinion was basically: We all knew the rules and 3 on 3 was just as fair as anything
It was particularly heartbreaking to lose it that way, I will say. But thatβs hockey for you. Itβs a fast game that can shift in a snap. You can have the momentum and then make one bad play and boom.
The Shawinigan Handshake π
Itβs 3 on 3!?! I donβt think my anxiety can take that π¬
This binational family is having A TIME π
ITS NOT GETTING BETTER π¬
Iβm glad it at least yielded a goal before the end of the period π . Gonna be an interesting 3rd!
You do Rust things now?
Being an adult is overrated
My understanding is that itβs designed to encourage the penalty killers to be more offensive and push for goal opportunities instead of just always dumping the puck down the ice
Yeah, shorthanded goals end the penalty. Itβs unique to the PWHL (as compared to the NHL at least).
Didnβt have enough Royale Tiger Towel Paper Towel Power Play energy
Weβve watched two other PWHL games this season and they felt easier to follow, but they were both Vancouver at home and on CBC and Amazon. Weβre watching on YouTube this time and I suspect itβs something to do with the streaming quality on YouTube
Something about this feed feels off to me, it feels harder than usual to track.
Yep. Goldeneyes are the only team in the league who are the primary tenant in their arena and have their logo at centre ice
At least with the Blue Jays in it, itβll be easier to find here π
Am I gonna have to figure out how to watch baseball?
(I mean, if the Jays take it all the way, Iβm not gonna be sad either tho, to be fair ;))
Elbows Up? π
Though for the record, Iβm rooting for the Mariners too. Toronto is on the other side of the continent and I love Seattle β€οΈ
How ya doinβ? π
But I canβt deny feeling safer as a family now that we live in a place with clear federal legal protections for queer families, solid gun control laws, and universal public healthcare (even if it is a very strained system π¬).
Was our decision to move politically-motivated? Not entirely. As a dual citizen, with solid ties on both sides of the border, we wanted to give our whole family a chance to experience being Canadian (and getting Mary on the path to π¨π¦ citizenship)
News! Our family moved up to BC recently. I grew up in the Vancouver area and itβs nice to be back in the Fraser Valley. Iβm still working for Microsoft on CosmosDB SDKs.
Iβd expect nothing less π
Stressful but most of the logistics are finally doneβ¦ I think π₯΄
I was just listening to a podcast that mentioned the Jays were top of the league and wondered how you were doing π
