( A group of three kacheek neopets resembling "The Blue Man Group" is illustrated smacking their paws against underlit drums covered in paint. In order from left to right the drums are red, yellow, and pink. Above them the text reads "Blue Kacheek Group" in white, set atop multiple-colored splatters of paint. The kacheeks have blank expressions and are underlit, giving them a slightly ominous look, despite the silly, colorful display. ) One of the first big projects I proposed at Geekify was doing a set of band posters for each of the performing acts at the Tyrannian Concert Hall, and I was so excited about it. This was for the group "Blue Kacheek Group", a fun spinoff of Blue Man Group. I wanted their band poster to evoke the same feel as the classic BMG posters, and while I definitely would've done some of this shading differently now, I'm still happy with how this one turned out.

The text reads "Chomby and the Fungus Balls", a nod to "Josie and the Pussycats". The poster is drawn and colored in a way to resemble classic woodstock posters from the 60's, lending the band poster a whimsical, psychedelic quality. ) This was one of my favorite posters to work on back in the day, especially because I loved the game Chomby and the Fungus Balls! I'm still really proud of this one, as cute and simple as it was.

A green grarrl (a Neopet that resembles a t-rex) wears a black tux and plays a flute, a white zafara wearing a semi opaque blue gown plays a harp, a red kyrii wearing a tux plays a trumpet, a red meerca wearing a tiny tux plays a triangle, an older-looking yellow lupe (a neopet that resembles a wolf) plays a cello, and a blue lenny excitedly directs them with a conductor's baton. They're illustrated over sheet music for an orchestral arrangement of Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up, while the right side of the poster lists information for the real on-site information, as if it were a real concert. The text reads: "The Neopian Philharmonic at the scenic Tyrannian Concert Hall, performances 2nd of each month, admission 1250 neopoints". ) This poster in particular has a special place in my heart--not only because I managed to secretly rickroll everyone who bought the poster, but also because I was an orchestra kid growing up! It always bugged me how the musicians in the Neopian Philharmonic were drawn holding or playing their instruments incorrectly, and I get it, it's tough to draw anthro characters playing instruments! But I'm happy I was able to satisfy one of my biggest childhood gripes by drawing them with the right technique.

The shoyru wrote their autograph along with a quickly scribbled note that barely reads "Keep reaching", the ixi kissed the poster then wrote their autograph, and the zafara quickly slashed an X onto the poster, with a note saying "stop calling me". ) This poster in particular was TONS of fun to work on, and I still love proudly hanging mine in my space. Twisted Roses perfectly captured that Hot Topic Punk Metal Girlie vibe of the 2000's energy, and I'm glad I could make a poster that taps into that. Like cmon, what teenage emo/scene kid wouldn't have wanted a poster like this one taped up in their room? I know I certainly would've, and I can think of at least five of my highschool friends who would've too. I think that was part of why working on neopets merch was such a dream come true for me, I got to think about good memories of freaking out with friends over cool fandom stuff as a teenager, and as an adult I was able to design a lot of merch I would've wanted.
Even though I'm mourning the end of Neopets' contract with us over at Geekify, I'm still proud of the illustrations and designs I drew over the years.

Harped on this before, but terms introduced in Endwalker—Etheirys, dynamis, Elpis flowers—all have common names, and these names are most likely restricted to Sharlayan scholarly papers.
The star is known as Hydaelyn (if not simply "the star"), dynamis as akasa, and Elpis flowers are heartblooms.

The Neopets team posted an update just after midnight terminating all licensing agreements with Geekify, directing backers of the TTRPG to Geekify for refunds, and leaving the door open to someone else making them a licensed TTRPG someday.
