Wow! I use the holy water every time, I don't think I've ever beat the Grim Reaper without it!

Wow! I use the holy water every time, I don't think I've ever beat the Grim Reaper without it!
I love it, so good!
My 9 are kind of all over the place, but that's because my tastes are all over the place! And I guess only one of these games is newer than the 90s! 😅

They weren't ACTUALLY at the same time, but we still should have done a dueling banjos thing!
I'm finally trying to learn the Final Fight 1CC (with Cody for now) I have a long way to go, but even just learning how to throw loop Sodom is so incredibly satisfying!
I feel so bad for Guile! 😂
There are a lot of shooting games I still haven't played, but the Darius series is very special to me! I love all of them for different reasons...even Darius II for being impossibly hard!
I think the soundtrack is easily the best part of it!
The release of this game doesn't actually feel all that long ago to me (even though it was), so it was fun to look back at a game that...well just listen to the episode! 😁
I also suspect a lot of it is driven from making content FOR YouTube, versus making content about the arcade that just happens to be on YouTube...if that makes any sense.
Ahh! I think there is some pettiness, but I see what you mean. The XYZ person clears ABC game streams have definitely gone away in favor of specific personalities doing it, that's true. But I always had the impression that it wasn't just any old person off the street doing those, even back then.
Interesting! I admittedly don't know the full story of the employee incidents thing (I remember one that happened a couple of years ago now?), and I agree that maybe they don't always put their names on the best products. But I'm actually a big fan of what they've been doing with streams lately!
The shooting game known as SALAMANDER(沙羅曼蛇)in Japan was titled LIFE FORCE outside Japan.
Later, a title released domestically in Japan that was an arrangement of SALAMANDER was also called LIFE FORCE.
It's confusing, isn't it?
YAMAOH plays drums on the popular track Thunderbolt from that game.
There's a new Scrolling Down the Belt for February! And in drawing VERY near to the end of 1991, we end up with the unlikely combination of Pu-Li-Ru-La and Golden Axe II! They don't have much in common, but one of them is trippy but simplistic, the other is just...more?

Absolutely!
With all the Evo shit, it just makes me really glad that Chicago has two REALLY strong tournament events that I love going to every year!
Rock legend Aikawa Nanase also shared some very nice pictures with Shinya over Instagram www.instagram.com/reel/DVHrVbz...
AI is going to make it nearly impossible for anyone to afford a new PC, phone, or gaming console -- all in the name of a future that will never come to pass and a present that will just make a few dudes rich. This is unacceptable
Always great to talk about the R360 and to be on a Retronauts episode with maybe some of the best art! 🤣
After a stretch of unplanned downtime, the Retronauts website is back up! Here's a thread of recent free episodes you might have missed, starting with @feitclub.bsky.social @stuartgipp.bsky.social & @onemillionpower.com covering Resident Evil 2 (1998 & 2019)

Hey everyone
One of our fans living in San Francisco contacted us while traveling in Japan, saying they wanted our CD.
I handed it over today.
It's awesome that our music is reaching people across the ocean!
YAMAOH gonna express it on the drums!
The song is from SEGA's classic Space Harrier
On February 17th, Luna Sea's drummer Shinya passed away due to colorectal cancer at only 56 years old.
I didn't get the chance to see them live, but Shinya and Luna Sea have played a big part in my own musical life, along with that of so many others. Rest in peace.

One of the most fun and interesting things that I've ever worked on translating! Give it a look if you're interested in game history and didn't last year!
やっぱりロビンが助けてくれたよね! 😁
サザンのTSUNAMI歌ってるんだ! 😂
When I heard that kyo-ji was the one who recorded the Final Fight gameplay in Hi Score Girl, I was very surprised! But going back and watching his 1CC on Mikado's channel, it made sense!
Yeah give me a few more years maybe! 😂
After literally years of half-assing my Pop'n Music practice and not actually progressing, I finally pulled the trigger on a USB Pop'n controller and a Lively subscription! I figure even if I can regularly do a bit each day I should actually be able to move further than the early 20s!
かっこよすぎ!
as announced via their sns acct: Shutaro Iida ("Curry The Kid"), director of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night & a key figure on Castlevania's Aria of Sorrow, the DS trilogy & Harmony of Despair, among other games, succumbed to pancreatic cancer on February 10
