Some decks are all about the gameplay, others are more about the vibes, or a combination of both. The right attitude is playing what makes you happy, specially if it’s working well enough already.

Yesterday I was swapping the batteries from my Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire carts and realized that the former had a blue battery and the latter had a red one. Kind of a cool detail!

I had the chance to test a couple of really cool things yesterday. Team-wide playtests where everyone is pumped and having fun has to be one of the best things of the game industry.
You are 100% right IMO. Our way to consume games has also changed a lot over the years, which I think it’s also another reason why the sudden jump in price makes has everyone on the edge. If marketing is pushing you to get every single release, of course this becomes even more pressing on players.
That’s what I like the most! Enjoying getting my corneas on fire is kind of my thing.

I rolled credits on my third game of 2025: Pokemon Emerald. I haven’t played this gen since it released, it was as good and watery as I remembered. The finishing team was Ludicolo, Blaziken and my ace, Magneton. I love these 3 Pokemon only challenges.

I just completed my second game of 2025 (not a great pace this year). Alan Wake II. What a masterpiece! Lots to love in here, but the use of live action video to empower some story bits was unreal.
This video was so good. I’ve started to see some of my templates with a new lens, specially the different ways to frame my commanders. Quite a must watch for commander players!
I actually didn’t know what to do with my scrapped Tom Bombadil deck until I saw the bracket system. Everyone be ready for good ol’ Tom retelling his favourite parts of the Magic lore.
Probably my favorite dynamic of the whole brackets system has been trying to figure out which game changers to keep or add to my B3 decks. Good job! As a game designer, I can only imagine how daunting of a task was the whole thing.
Today I had a blast putting together my new Hashaton commander list. I played a scrappier version of this this weekend and it was crazy good.

I’d go with a Titanic retelling with Karn and Dack Fayden. At the end, Karn throws the Jewelled Lotus away. Not sure who’d be up to direct such a thing though.
