description to go with it. Sorry.
Hey all. Some general feedback I've been getting is some news sites come up with "this site block bots" as the description.
That's an intentional thing I put in; some news sites DO go through efforts to block bots like mine, and I respect that effort. The link will still work; there's just no (1/2)
Glad to hear it, thanks ๐
lol
Well, frankly, their "policies" are just recommendations anyway. There's always ways around everything. Would be nice to NOT have to go through those avenues when they're the ones that mess up.
Oh yeah? I'm all ears
free to contact me on here, or info@pebmac.ca.
I won't be able to USE my app on Facebook for a bit, so updates may be a little delayed.
Well, Facebook decided to arbitrarily ban my account, citing I tried breaking into people's accounts.
In traditional fashion, Facebook doesn't have any way of contacting them, so I'll be out of comission until I get around to creating a new account. So if you guys run into any issues, please feel...
Seemed to work for me.
Just to make sure, when you posted it on Facebook, it looked like this?
r.pebmac.ca/https://apne...
Yup you did. Can you send me the link?
can you send me the link?
What are you seeing/trying that makes you think it's disabled?
if you run into any issues along the way with it, please, and especially so for iOS as I don't have a device to test with.
destination to share to. It'll then take the link of the website you're on, put it into my app and press the button for you, copying it to your clipboard (You might need to give it those permissions the first time). You can then close the app and paste it into where ever you'd like!
Let me know...
you can install it from Chrome browser (or Samsung Internet) by going to r.pebmac.ca then click on the menu in the top right corner, then "Add to Home" or "Add to Phone" or, "Install App" (A variant of that, I'm sure).
Then when you are on a website or in another app, you can use it as a...
Another Update!
I've had some requests, and I've wanted to do it too, to be able to "Share" to my app from another app on the phone. Now we can do that!
It's still in an early release, but from what I can tell it's working as intended.
I don't have an iPhone to try it out with, but, with Android...
So if you wanna give it a go and let me know, I'd appreciate it! :)
So before I go off and announce it, just in case it doesn't work. I did a thing.
Theoretically you should be able to "install" the web app on your device now -- and then "share" to it, where it'll copy the URL appropriately.
Additionally, you can make a shortcut to /share/?url=URL_HERE
Not as it stands. To my limited understanding of mobile apps and the related, there's a web app option, but it doesn't integrate in the same way as a regular app. So I'd have to build an app for Apple and Android to make that function work.
Ha, good catch. I had to patch something a couple weeks ago, guess I missed that part.
Facebook took down my page, so yeah it's bluesky now. Thanks for letting me know!
What are you seeing? Can you send me the link and a screenshot? Feel free to DM it
As it stands, the app still works too; just for clarification there. Should that no longer be the case, I'll look at uploading the code to GitHub so others can continue its legacy.
Well, I guess it was only a matter of time until Facebook banned my page. They claim I'm impersonating someone.. Odd enough.
But in traditional Meta fashion, there's no way to contact them, so what they say goes. So now I'm on BlueSky!
You can also email me at info@pebmac.ca should you need to.
