We noticed something interesting (and frustrating) this winter because we had a number of cold spells here in Florida - when humidity drops, the food in our cages loses moisture and therefore weight, artificially increasing our food consumption measures. Curious if anyone else has noticed this?

I don’t think so, because I think it is a given that different species’ brains are different (ie there is no “the brain”). By studying individual species rigorously we will understand the many ways in which brains CAN work.
I've sat on both and at least at the time BRLE was very broad in species and behavioral domain, while NMB was at least 75% reward/addiction spheres.
