I wonder if they could increase capacity at the port of Fujairah... and also whether it's safe right now in the first place.

βHelsinki hasnβt registered a single traffic-related fatality in the past yearβ¦Citing data that shows the risk of pedestrian fatality is cut in half by reducing a carβs speed from 40 to 30km/hr, city officials imposed the lower limit in most of Helsinkiβs residential areas and city center in 2021.β
When we talk about Baby Boomers not getting off the stage: In 1997, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2007, the US president was born in 1946.
In 2017, the US president was born in 1946.
And next year in 2027? The US president will have been born in 1946.
Don't worry everybody, there's a 22 yo in charge of counter terrorism and Kash Patel fired most of the experts in Iranian militant groups.
Would the easy prosecution be for leaking classified information? Or do insider trading laws clearly apply?
I realize it isnβt the biggest crisis right now, but it is exhausting to simultaneously be accused by populists of right and left of being primarily loyal to a country where I deliberately choose not to live - even while the government of that country thinks Iβm disloyal to my people.
-Zero Congressional consultation or approval.
-Zero preparation of public for need/consequences of war.
-Zero evidence of thought about "OK, what might the other side do?" Next month. Next year.
-Zero mention of anti-nuke agreement Trump voided, or Trump claim last year that nukes "obliterated."
I agree with you... and I also wonder if this can reasonably be extended to more local governments, which have similar problems of large time commitments with little or no pay, although without the problem of living in 2 places. They're also intrinsically more part-time, though.
The Conference of Catholic Bishops is... not playing around in this brief.

But the laws we have would rather see one hedge fund manager push out seven households, rather than allow a larger building to be built. This, supposedly, preserves the neighborhood's character.
It would be even more interesting if they converted the tax to use marginal rates rather than just jumping at certain thresholds.
It's also interesting to watch the transit wayfinding in Japan evolve over time. I've visited Tokyo a decent number of times (between 2006 and 2019) and some of the wayfinding changed over that time period, e.g., the introduction of two-letter codes for the non-subway train lines.
It looks like the highest snowfall amounts from this storm were around Providence, Rhode Island, including 32.8" (83cm) at the airport, which is a new record for a single storm snowfall at that location.
The people commenting on this all seem to have insufficient background in genealogical records of Jewish immigration to the US to realize that this is obviously a woman's name. (Sore/Sora being common spellings of the Hebrew/Yiddish version of Sarah)

A double hung window from the inside of a house, with the screen and storm window covered in enough snow that you can't see much on the other side.
A good view of the snowstorm...

Sometimes the inability of the bus to pull to the side of the road can be an advantage, when cars have to wait behind the bus instead of passing the bus (so the bus has to wait for them at the next light or next congestion).
I think there's another matrix in this general area, and completing it requires introducing downhill skating.
1900 and 1910 US Census asked adult women how many kids they had and how many were still living.
(My father's mother's father's mother reported 6/3 in 1900 and 7/4 in 1910. My father's mother's mother's mother reported 8/7 in 1900.)
So it's the first of three consecutive years when the Chinese New Year roughly lines up with the start of Ramadan. (To be followed by three years when Chinese New Year roughly lines up with the end of Ramadan.)
Hooray for calendars that care about when the new moon is.
I really hope someone in dem policy circles is coming up with a plan for ICE and CBP doing what police departments have done when thereβs a DA they donβt like: quiet quit and half ass the actually legit parts of the job and loudly tell friendly media that they canβt do their jobs, Because of Woke

Who was the last president who could cogently discuss economics? Obama? Bill Clinton? FDR?
Turns out there is a downside to the governments around the world negotiating profit out of pharma R&D:Β the US became the only profitable market on earth, and so if the US says we don't want vaccines, nobody gets any more vaccines. Will it happens for other drugs? www.nytimes.com/2026/02/16/h...
Or walk around a city park in Taiwan and determine which political party was in power when each sign was posted by the Romanization of the park's name.

Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?
<datalist> feels like it could handle the case of only enabling certain choices, though I'm not sure whether it's the API people want. I wonder if there's a good way to extend that to additional data, and then styling the extra data.
Many of the use cases for date pickers require substantial work on improving standards first. Maybe the most common example is the ability to display price or some other kind of availability for each date.
Also making what exists more styleable, especially the in page parts but also the picker.
