An 87 NJ Transit bus picking up passengers at a bus stop on Bergen Ave

Starting a thread for some Hudson County’s busiest bus stops. I’ll start with “Bergen Ave 115’s south of Glenwood Ave” or SB Bergen Ave at Montgomery. This stop sees over 200 on and 200 off daily boardings. This stop serves the 80, 87 & 8.

Did Murphy make things better, worse for NJ residents without cars? NJ Transit got some secure revenue sources, but fees go up while riders want more reliability. And a new e-bike law makes that option less appealing.

Gov. Murphy made a lot of impact on transportation policy during his terms.

But people without cars who rely on NJ Transit and e-bikes will face some of the harshest impacts from those policies.

Will Gov. Sherrill add transportation to her affordability agenda?

Don’t want to inconvenience inconsiderate people who double park, but it’s totally okay to inconvenience bus riders on 4th busiest bus line in NJ.

Work Will Stop on Critical Tunnel Project Unless Trump Restores Funding

Right now, the tunnel boring machines for Gateway have arrived and are being assembled in their launch pits.

There are many issues with the Gateway project, but stopping construction now would only add years more delay while further inflating costs.

Missing crosswalks: Many bus riders directly enter/exit the JSQ bus station on Sip Avenue to get to Hudson County Community College & other destinations. But as with many intersections in Jersey City, one of the crosswalks is missing, forcing pedestrians to navigate around parked cars or cross twice
