I got the all clear from my optometrist, they didn't see any issues, which is a relief - they think it's just a migraine symptom and recommended seeing my regular doctor for advice.
Happy 37th Birthday to Fujitsu's FM Towns, a computer that pushed the limits of what was possible in 1989. These are the two that I've restored - the UX Towns II in 2020, and the HG Tower in 2023, both for NEON Retrofest. 💿 #retrogaming

Still having some peripheral vision issues in one eye since mid last week, it's maybe improved a little and comes and goes, but it's been disruptive 😔 I was hoping I wouldn't have to increase my expenses with an optometrist visit, but I'm going to get it checked out.

happy new year, heading to bed in 2026
Image depicts the following, which is the text transcription. It's very cute! "Lemon Piglet (11) For good luck in the New Year, a lemon piglet is a must! Insert four toothpicks into a lemon for legs. Slit pointed end for mouth to hold shiny penny, and two cuts for the ears. Eyes are cloves. Crush and curl foil for silly tail."

Last-minute gig idea! A knock-off VHS that looks a bit like a classic Disney cartoon:
So much of what I see in any creative output is the person or people behind it. If there's no one behind it, there's nothing to connect with.

I love when I can see the work in a piece of art. Practical effects in film, brush strokes on canvas, strange sounds in music, "impossible" visuals in games. It puts me in conversation with the artist. That's why - ethics aside - art created with AI is just so disappointing. There's no work to see.
You are ABSOLUTELY NOT going to regret listening to this bird:

I’ve also added my playthrough The Zen of Kayaking by @pixelturkey.com and @gamedevjeff.pixelturkey.com: robotspacer.tv/archive/zen-... It’s a fun little text adventure game from 2024. I played it on a Mac in System 6, but you can also play in DOS, on a Commodore 64, or in your browser.

Deluxe Poly - I only just added dragging objects around with the mouse (you can also hold <shift> to lock to horizontal / vertical only). Should make a few of my next tasks a bit easier. #lowpoly #pixelart #indiedev #wip
a book cover i made for my short story, which shows a red cluster of stars and gas floating in space behind the zoomed-in sillouhette of an electric guitar. tall thin lettering in the top left reads "INSTRUMENT," and below that, "a short story by jordan mallory"
okay here's the official post! my very first short story, INSTRUMENT, is out now on itch. 🥳 it's about a guy named Stanley who buys a rare guitar at an estate sale, and things go downhill. i hope you like it!!
