This didn't happen. The perception that it did is largely based on fictional shows that were about rich people. Much more common was a household where one person (theoretically Dad in a het household) was the higher earner and paid the housing costs and the other paid utilities & food

Just had someone say Edith didn't work on All in The Family...one of the very special episodes was about her losing her job because she didn't stop a patient's suicide IIRC. You don't remember them working because it wasn't presented as onerous like the men working. That's the whole point

🌱 The oranges this year are finally beginning to sweeten.

The orange blossoms are blessing the air and we still have a tree full of fruit. Last year, the oranges were gone by this point. I hope we are providing this giant tree with all they need in the wake of doing all of this at the same time. 🙏🏾

Kroger joins Trader Joe's in recall of rice products: Growing fears of glass fragments spark dramatic expansion A recall that initially included about 3 million pounds of frozen food products is now 10 times larger. Carrots are now believed to be the culprit.

The recall includes rice and dumpling products at Trader Joe's and Krogers.

After an investigation, it was found that the carrots used in the products were the likely source of the glass fragments.

No, the source was insufficient food safety procedures.
