Another reason that abortion ban "exceptions" and claims that bans won't affect people who miscarry, etc. are false comfort: once the end of a pregnancy can be criminalized, they're going to arrest people for it and blow up their lives and then look for a legal basis later.

Just started doing new data analysis and I know I keep saying this, but: I really, really don't think people appreciate how much this moral panic was a deliberate and extremely expensive invention.

I have seen "Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie" and I cannot emphasize enough 1) you should see it, especially if you're a millennial who likes absurd comedy and 2) you don't need to, and in fact should not, know much about it going in. Not having watched the trailer made it an incredible ride.
