The Bride
*Handsomely staged* is the best you can say. Sting & Beals create an off-putting anti-chemistry, so the movie keeps returning to David Rappaport and Clancy Brown (the monster) doing small-time carny shit. I always forget I don’t like it, so I revisit it every 10+ years to relearn that.
I could never. My actual *employment* is way more of a priority to me than the Likes.
You know...As square as I can seem IRL, I tried to think of a bunch of different things but I bet everyone could picture them happening. Which...y'know...makes me feel good? That any random tale could be greeted with "yeah, I can see that?" It's a nice feeling.
I came across Katzen the Tiger Lady stranded in a parking lot and gave them a ride home.
Sometimes, I wish I could share some of my auditions. It can cost you future work, but I see a lot of actors do it anyway (I do not have the brass stones to even dare tempt fate that way).

There *is* a weird thing going with Dept of War in so much as it seems the people are considered weapons and not actual humans and that's probably going to backfire spectacularly.
...is there a weird thing going on where the path to education for military is being choked out? Or is it just education in general, and service members will also suffer?
Like, I'm *just now* at 50, starting to feel like I know myself, as a cartoonist. I'm comfortable with my work; I can see myself in it - what *I* specifically bring to the table is starting to show. I hate that it didn't happen in my 30s.
I've grown so much as a cartoonist because of the iPad (the replication of inks & other materials I'd otherwise not be good at because of the way I hold my utensil, the ability to underdraw & erase without losing paper fidelity). If I'd had one at a younger age, I know I'd be so much further along.
