Had two notes for myself as I wrote up my review of The Bride! -- don't use any variant of the word "mess" and don't use any variant of the phrase "big swing". Both of which have been found literally trampled to death in the gutter this week.
(JFC I just realized There Will Be Blood is actually almost TWO decades old and immediately crumbled to dust)
Ludwig Göransson rules, as does his Sinners score, but it is nevertheless UNMITIGATED BULLSHIT he's about to win a THIRD Oscar over Oscar-less Jonny Greenwood, whose music for One Battle After Another is among his best work after a decade of similarly incredible scores. I won't be getting over this!
