More progress on my procedural music system in Unreal 5! I've figured out how to make a Markov chain to create infinitely generating melodies and harmonies! Very proof of concept right now, but make the thing first, make it sound good later, right?
Sound on! Over the past couple weeks, I've been prototyping a procedural music game with my partner! So far I've been playing with metasounds in Unreal and have been making procedurally generated rhythmic patterns for different musical sounds and making them "animate" when they play.
Had a great time at PAX over the weekend! So much to do, so little time to see everything!
Got lots of game conferences coming up! Going to my first PAX and SLICE in Seattle next week and then I just got my ticket for Game Sound Con in Burbank in a couple months! Anyone else going?
