Due to mutual friends, I was able to meet both B. David Walters and Alexander Ward from LA by Night and both were hella nice people. I’d run a game for them any night of the week.
If you buy a ttrpg book from the big name game, you help an executive increase profitability for shareholders.
If you buy a ttrpg from a small indie designer, you help them pay their rent or feed their kid, etc.

I regularly consider deleting this account, just keeping the Monkeyfun account. Then I trade a joke with a fellow designer like Epi or the Bakers or BC and I go, nah. Wouldn’t miss this for the world.

Jerry Lawson, the inventor of the video game cartridge.
This is Jerry Lawson. He invented the video game cartridge for the Fairchild Channel F system. Because of his invention, many consoles had cartridges and CD formats and would become the norm.
The Atari 2600, NES, Genesis, and many consoles wouldn't exist without him.
