Hi! Sorry, I’m no longer with Authzed so I might be behind the times a bit! Sorry to hear about your experience with Permify :/ that’s a bummer. For migrating to SpiceDB, I’d suggest asking on the discord server for advice! I’m sure someone would be happy to help.

Been working on a unifying theory for @ifbookspod.bsky.social

No need to thank me, I will simply accept a guest spot if they ever talk about Simon Sinek

IDEA: instead of T-shirt sizing, we should do spell slot sizing. As the team grows, you level up and get more spell slots.

Then you have a spell slot budget for a certain period of time until you retro, at which point you get them all back.

Small bug fix? level 1
Major feature? level 4

“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

It makes me so mad to see Tolkien co-opted.

Researcher uncovers dozens of sketchy Chrome extensions with 4 million installs Even weirder: Why would Google give so many the “Featured” stamp for trustworthiness?

Google has never been capable of running a safe app store for Android, so why would you think Chrome would be any different?: Researcher uncovers dozens of sketchy Chrome extensions with 4 million installs

GenAI verbiage tells:
- "crucial"
- overabundance of [noun] is [adjective], especially at the end of sentences
- clauses that are technically grammatically correct but when you read it carefully, don't make much sense
- "in today's [adjective] world ... "

Middle-Aged Man Trading Cards Go Viral in Rural Japan Town A trading card game consisting of real-life ojisan (middle-aged men) are going viral with kids in the city of Kawara in Fukuoka Prefecture.

Ojichan trading cards were designed to connect youth to the aging population... this is too amazing! How many more problems can we solve with shiny cardboard 🤔

When I was a kid, we couldn’t afford Sailor Moon dolls so I made my own with popsicle sticks and drawings. When there’s a weeb, there’s a way!

As a cybersecurity professional it blows my mind they are not seeing the real problem of using THE WRONG APP. SIPRnet and JWICS exist inside secure comms for the government.

The issue is an IAM one which is mitigated by using the right app.

Signal is a consumer app it’s still secure but has no IAM

High prices are only as good as the buyer’s willingness (or ability) to pay them… I keep telling myself something’s gotta give, but it hasn’t so far

I’m speaking at a democracy conference this morning and my subject is “Having Positive Discussions on Challenging Topics”

You might think my many years in human rights are how I learned these techniques, but only until I tell you I raised 5 teenagers.

Travel mishap: my audiobook playing loudly without me realizing while waiting to get off the plane. Other passengers pointed it out to me…

It was Blood of Elves (one of the Witcher series) … luckily only a slightly impolite section 🥲
