Canโ€™t wait to see that angle! And yeah, who knows, Bolton obviously an excellent side but have draws in them (three of their last four results!). Iโ€™m trying hard not to get carried awayโ€ฆ

What a strike it was!! Definitely a free hit on Saturday, but then a huuuge one against Luton, who we can be confident against given our great home form + their shambolic away form...

There were 2,967 suspensions at one of these schools in 2023/24. As the article says, this 'equates to nearly 16 a day, based on a standard 190-day school year'.

We're told to focus so much on attendance - sure, in many ways rightly so - but what's the incentive here?

Crying parents lash out at meeting over 'authoritarian' Cornish schools There were harrowing and heartbreaking accounts of children feeling suicidal and a pupil hospitalised with kidney scarring because they were terrified to use the toilet during school. 'Nobody cares. I...

Just remarkable. This isn't an anomaly, there are increasing reports of incredibly harsh discipline at schools up and down the country, and there's no form of meaningful accountability.

How do we reconcile this with the stressful and unhelpful impacts of 'exam-ification' in our schools? Genuine question, I'm really torn

Our new report is out! State Expectations: The history and experiences of fee-paying independent schools converting into state schools.

After VAT, will more private schools want to become state schools?

The THREE recommendations are:

Yeah, think Anders will get another start, though maybe Duff sees Burton at home as an opportunity to mix it up. And it would be interesting to know how the game would have gone if Lowe hadnโ€™t scored so soon! I wonder how much limiting Stevenage was the changes as opposed to the goal (likely both!)

The Champions League needed Bodo/Glimtโ€™s success โ€“ but it highlights a big problem The Norwegian minnows from the Arctic Circle stunned Inter Milan to reach the Champions League last 16 but footballing authorities must now heed a warning

When you lay out everything against them, Bodo-Glimt's run is probably European football's greatest feat since Porto 2004

Like Leicester 2016, though, the fact it is so unlikely raises questions about the system - especially one with six PL teams

Player Ratings: Wycombe 3-1 Stevenage Wycombe make it three home wins from three as they sweep aside playoff rivals Stevenage

Wycombe are loving their home comforts lately, making it three wins from three in South Bucks. Here's a take on Saturday's game and our prospects for the rest of the season. Oh, and Nathan Lowe is indestructible.

Player Ratings: Reading 3-2 Wycombe Wycombe's playoff push hit a wall as a Jack Marriott hat-trick proved decisive in Berkshire

An ultimately unsuccessful trip to Berkshire on Saturday, but with plenty of positives to take into the back-end of this season. Some pre-Exeter reading...

Youโ€™re right, defensively we look fantastic, though I think it almost stops me from forming an opinion on Norris. Heโ€™s not done anything silly since Luton, really - and he could have easily lost his way - but at the same time, do I trust him if not for an amazing backline? I donโ€™t know yet

11.02.2026 19:15 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Agree, think heโ€™s been liable to a couple of defensive mistakes lately (most of which heโ€™s managed to get away with), but I think heโ€™s excellent going forwards

Player Ratings: Wycombe 4-0 Doncaster Homecoming hero Aaron Morley scores on his second debut as Wycombe cruise past a hapless Doncaster at Adams Park

My favourite afternoon watching Wycombe in some time, and a real statement of intent as we go into the last few months of a turbulent season. Some thoughts...

Matchday Rewind: Wycombe Wanderers vs Doncaster Rovers YouTube video by Wycombe Wanderers

Utter privilege and honour to be on the mic at Wycombe on Saturday. I spent a good ten years often having to listen on the radio from Lincolnshire, so itโ€™s an amazing feeling to be on the other end of it. Thanks so much to Matt Cecil and Luke Ashmead for making it happen.

This should be good! A niche angle on private schools moving into the state sector. Always an interesting discussion with PEPF and the report has been written by some great people, so Iโ€™m excited to read it

Agree. I think Duff rates Mullins highly but we need to get into a rhythm of him being able to dominate the ball. Think Doncaster is a good opportunity to experiment with the system again. Also wonder what role Vidigal will play

AZZA'S BACK! Mansfield 0-0 Wycombe A big week for Wycombe didn't end with its fairytale potential, but it was a solid point on the road against the in-form Stags

It may have been a 0-0 on Saturday, but waxing lyrical about Aaron Morleyโ€™s return was incredibly fun. Also shoutout to my younger brother, who is stitching together a little unbeaten run in the games heโ€™s joined me for.

Yeah, I agree with you and think thatโ€™s why weโ€™ve not seen him start as much as we might otherwise. Think last night probably obscured those shortcomings by nature of the game and that Wigan just arenโ€™t that good

A much happier read today after Wycombe's win over Wigan last night. Hopefully this offers a measured yet positive reaction going into the end of January...
