Good news! Aetna finally approved my inhaler for a one time override so that I can breathe for another month. Only a $70 copay (in violation of Illinois law as of 1/1/26, as the max copay per covered inhaler is supposed to be $25), but I'll take it! Thank you American healthcare!

I think the only other thing is some cost management, right now it's on one of the top masto.host plans for the database size alone (idk why they're charging $200 for a 80gb DB). I bet there are cheaper hosts out there but not sure what transfer would look like.
Domain is currently in my personal Squarespace account and I don't think I can change the email on that :/ So we'll need to transfer to another registrar. Right now DNS is in CloudFlare, I'm not sure how account ownership is there but I'll check.

After transferring that, really the only other thing is passwords + domain transfer.
Because it's a 501(c)(3) I don't think the funds can be taken out of it because they're tax deductible. So I think choices are find US-based person to be POC for HCB / manage email and Masto.host stuff (very hands off), or switch over to new funding mechanism while the existing one runs out.
Currently the thing that I was putting off before was getting in touch with our fiscal sponsor (Hack Club Bank, we switched to them when the OpenCollective Fund shut down). Because HCB is based out of the US I believe they have to have a POC that's based in the US for that?

Today I learned that Date.to_datetime sets the time to midnight *in UTC*, not the current time zone. This can create subtle bugs or test flakiness if you’re using libraries like Faker that respect ENV[‘TZ’].
