The panel spans a decade of major political change, including the financial crisis, austerity protests, the rise of populism, and COVID-19. In Spain, it captures events such as 15M, significant party system change, corruption scandals, the Catalan independence bid, and feminist mobilization.
POLAT focuses primarily on political variables, offering a broad range of indicators of attitudes and behaviors.
The article provides an overview of the design, content, and characteristics of the dataset, which follows over 4,600 individuals across the decade 2010–2020.
