it's kinda fucked up that we universally agree that if a programmer lacks art skills, them resorting to using ai is wrong...

but a lot of artists seem to be okay with using ai, just because they lack the programming skills

where do we draw the line? what makes one ethical and the other one not?

- use stock assets for MVP
- realize most solo games take years and adjust expectations for yourself
- get other people to help
- make it text-based or otherwise light on graphics
- use code to create assets (e.g. Sonic-Pi for audio)

even places like gog use ai now, cheap fuckers go pay some actual artists man

Doesn't matter what the output is used for. The ethical problems lie in how the inputs are curated and how the model is evolved. So both are equally problematic and for the same reasons. There is no difference.

Procedurally generating using your own code would be the way to go. Don't see the point in using unethically sourced probabilistic word predictor to generate such simple code...
