The statement is a textbook example of a malady that Filipino lawyers often suffer: an abundance of words and a paucity of meaning. Anyways, putting it as an example for next year’s Legal Writing course.
Hot take: Just read the statement by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines on the House kerfuffle involving “an individual who happens to be a lawyer.” (Their words, not mine)
I think the statement is not necessary. It was full of legalese without saying anything of substance.
