The #1 feature requested during playtests of Shelter was "Can the hostage be a dog?"
Initially, I wasn't able to figure out a solution that worked.
Well after a recent tip from another designer, I finally got it working.
I present, the "Dogstage."

Still blows my mind that with HL:Alyx, valve shipped ALL of the map source files for the entire game.
Wonder how something works in the SP campaign? You can just go load it up, and check out the scripting raw. It's sick.

More work on my CS2 level. Instances make industrial architecture a lot quicker.
More progress today. Looking like Iβll compile tomorrow since I prepared the technical fiddle-bits.
Personally Iβve never worked with Trenchbroom, but from what Iβve seen itβs certainly more advanced in many ways. Still holding out for a full UV editor in Hammer eventually, but the current quick texture tool is improved even over HLA hammer.
Testing out some of the improved tools for CS2. Thank you to whoever added user-controllable parameters for beveling/thickening in Hammer, you're literally the best.
Finished Baldur's Gate 3 and accidentally got my wife hooked in the process. The house has been eerily quiet except for the low hum of the steamdeck...
