This is one of those βsenate normsβ that exists for no reason. Itβs the same reason Rubio was unanimously voted in. It exists for no reason other than class solidarity among the powerful.
Itβs very hard to pick a single passage to give you a sense of just how fucked up this is.
βSince the beginning of 2025, at least 30 cities have canceled their contracts with Flockβ¦β
New from 404 Media: CBP tapped into the online advertising ecosystem to track peoples' movements, according to an internal DHS document. Shows for the first time DHS tracked phones via process for putting ads in ordinary appsβvideo games, fitness apps, many more www.404media.co/cbp-tapped-i...
The meritocracy people
you couldn't torture me into tweeting like this.
Liberals will have you believe that the American Empire lashing out wildly is incoherent and without reason.
Imperialism itself is reason enough.
This is a bombshell: "the Pentagon wanted the company to allow for the collection and analysis of unclassified, commercial bulk data on Americans, such as geolocation and web browsing data"
This kind of agenda echoes the defunded Total Information Awareness effort, post-9/11

I see the confusion. When I said βyou should feel safe,β I donβt actually mean *you*.
How many people have to be murdered overseas for you to feel safe at home?
It looks like they took down the original post.

βMr. Ayalaβs partnerβs ex learned about the location tracking from the website Have I Been Flocked, which shows people when their license plates have been searched in the companyβs systems.β
Because Flock is run by scumbags, it has been sending fake takedown threats to the operators of HIBF.
A Milwaukee police officer was criminally charged after using license plate recognition technology to surveil a person he was dating and the personβs ex for two months last year, the authorities said.
This is the second time a cop has charged with abusing ALPR data to stalk a former partner. (It is not the second time it has happened).
FWIW: cops abusing data to stalk partners is one of the most common reasons they are arrested.
well this simply cannot be true. every police department and Flock have assured the public that safeguards are in place to prevent and catch this exact thing (this was not revealed by any safeguards or audits)
excited to hear tech companies will now be allowed to build their own power plants for their data centers. i am sure the makers of "the app that tells kids to kill themselves" will responsibly operate coal plants
Oh man seems like a great candidate otherwise.

NEW: Homeland Security officials are asking companies to help them combine all of their face and fingerprint systems together into one giant biometric platform.
Buttttttt it's unclear how workable this really is since DHS uses a wide mishmash of proprietary algos.
NEW: Jeffrey Epstein cultivated relationships with CBP officers at the airports he frequented.
Epstein emailed and texted with six CBP officers, invited them to his island, visited with them at the airport, and frequently sought to determine who was going to be on duty when he was traveling
