i just tap on the back of my phone twice, enter my thought and put my phone away. no need to unlock my phone, open the app and futz around.

i have alot of random thoughts while i’m on the go that i want to save. i wanted a way to enter my thoughts into my phone and be able to just put my phone away as quickly as possible. so i set up back tap on my phone to trigger a @gather.do app intent.

With App Intents, you can add controls to your Lock Screen and Control Center to quickly add thoughts, notes, and tasks.

We've added an App Intent for Tasks. This means you can now ask Siri to add thoughts, notes and tasks to @gather.do. It also means you can easily build your own custom “shortcuts” and workflows that tie into Gather.

This release introduces what we’re calling Gather’s Bloom Engine. The Bloom Engine is Gather’s brain - it’s designed to make your content more useful, more organized, and more powerful.

It works invisibly in the background, offline, locally and privately on your device.

We think of what you've added to Gather as seeds. Seeds that grow over time and have the potential to become something bigger and more meaningful. Gather's Bloom Engine will learn and understand your context, create connections, make suggestions and enrich everything you've saved and created.
