i'm so angry about Elio because it was supposed to be a movie about a gay nerdy kid who fell in love with a weird allen and that would have touched me on a very deep level.
instead, the movie spends more effort trying to convince you it's Not About That and it's so uninteresting
literally the most interesting parts of Elio were the ghosts of the gay storyline. everything else was so bland
