I'm really sorry. Patients don't come to hospitals on a good day! And you shouldn't have to deal with rude healthcare workers on top of everything that already fucking sucks when you're in the hospital.

Honestly I still don't know if that fridge is unplugged or not lmfao. I don't work today. But I did file a report with the hospital against that unit secretary for tampering with medication (don't fuck with me or patients)
And the worst part is that pharmacy tends to be treated as the bottom of the food chain, so everyone is just constantly horrible to us for shit pay
60% of the healthcare workers I work with are like genuine angels from heaven and the other 40% are some of the most selfish, snobbish, holier-than-thou people I've ever come in contact with. All concentrated into one place. It's great.
We immediately called the charge nurse of the unit who acted like we were overreacting. She said "I don't hear any beeping." YES BECAUSE IT WAS UNPLUGGED?! And then she said "My nurses are smart enough to know not to unplug a fridge" like why are you even arguing this with us??????????
for a ticket to be looked at?" and I said, "I'm sorry but yes, we don't handle any of that. I can show you how to put one in online though." She said (very rudely), "No need to do that. I'll just unplug it." and immediately hung up the phone.
?! UNPLUG THE FRIDGE WITH THE PATIENT MEDS !?
one of the fridges is beeping. I let her know that we personally don't handle fixing the machines (there is an entire separate team for that) and we don't know how to, so she will have to put in a ticket. She said, "You seriously are going to make me sit here and listen to this beeping while waiting
Many of these medication machines have fridges, because there are lots of medicines that HAVE to be refrigerated. And if they aren't, they can go bad, lose efficacy, and are often v expensive. So the fridges are VERY important.
Well, we get a call to the pharmacy from a secretary of a unit that
Probably got the most mad I've ever gotten at work yesterday.
So, if you have never worked inpatient then you may not realize this, but every hospital floor has medicine machines. These medicine machines store the next doses of patient medications so they can have them in time to give.
and not be met with "well doesn't everyone have a little bit of ADHD nowadays"
At my most recent intake appointment, the ND therapist offered me a box of stim toys and told me it was ok if I didn't make eye contact. So I did it, and I couldn't believe how much more comfortable I was. Just that ALONE made me open up more. I feel like I can now discuss my ADHD-related issues
I loved my previous therapist but I now realize that there was an entire part of me that I was unable to talk about in therapy because I guess I didn't feel comfortable. I immediately started masking without even realizing it.
I really didn't realize how life changing it was as a neurodivergent person to have a therapist who is also neurodivergent until I found my most recent one. It's a game changer.
wtf how did I not know this!!!!!!!
I find it difficult to root for the NMHL in its current state. So I have 0 interest in the canes.
Although I will say that I'm selfish and I'm hoping for a Carolina team first LOL
good news for you, there is some speculation on a future Dallas team seeing that it was on their "takeover" tour list
So I guess the only team on my shitlist right now is Frost and that's exclusively because of Britta Curl (sorry y'all)
Like, even though the Victoire are like the "rivals" of my team, the sirens, I still love them because of Poulin/Stacey ๐โโ๏ธ
the only downside of the PWHL that I've run into is that I love all of the players and teams so much that I find it really hard to fervently root against almost anyone (except curl lol)
Here's hoping!! ๐ญ
I GOT AN INTERVIEW FOR THE RADIOLOGY PROGRAM I APPLIED TO !!!!!!!
Just got done meeting with her and I wasn't sure if she would appreciate this but she has the OCD/ADHD/PTSD trifecta and now I know that she got a little laugh out of it
filling out the intake form for a new therapist
This is really nice to hear because I always see my OCD as being a hindrance. It's always nice to see it from the other side. She sounds like a delight โฅ๏ธ
the pitt fan community is so fucking funny because basically every single ship possible in that show is deeply unethical for one reason or another, but that's basically exactly how it works in a hospital so it's just accurate and hilarious
because of course the answer is no
the answer is no, btw
having OCD is so humiliating. I just had to ask my pharmacist if me getting my immunosuppressant shot this week would raise my chances of getting aspiration pneumonia from a piece of chicken I inhaled yesterday. humiliating.
literally like they'd probably show up bedside to giggle ๐
